Job Description:

SUMMARY
Performs services to clean and maintain cleanliness standards of the Hydrogel mixing & curing rooms
and facilities. Performs manufacturing activities to support the manufacturing of finished medical device
products. Must be able to perform manual labor and use the required cleaning solutions to complete the
assigned jobs.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Cleans manufacturing rooms and curing lines, including but not limited to the following:
* Cleans floors and walls in the mixing, converting, and packaging rooms.
* Empties trash.
* Restocks cleaning supplies as needed.
* Maintains general cleanliness of Hydrogel mixing and curing areas. Completes assigned tasks
in an accurate and timely manner. Work with other departments to resolve any outstanding
issues.
2. Cleans manufacturing equipment and accessories, including but not limited to the following:
* Cleans all Hydrogel mixing process equipment.
* Cleans all Hydrogel dispensing process equipment.
* Cleans and sanitizes all Hydrogel instruments/accessories.
3. Coordinates and prioritizes work according to situations and manufacturing schedule with key
manufacturing and management personnel. Signs off and posts cleaning activities performed,
according to specifications in the SOP to maintain open communication with manufacturing
personnel to know which rooms/suites are available for use. Adjusts cleaning schedule as needed.
4. Performs activities, as needed, during product manufacturing such as medical device pad inspection,
placement of product into process containers, feeding package lines with product to be packaged,
boxing, etc.
5. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job. Punctuality and regular
attendance are crucial for efficient plant operations, safety, and morale.
6. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required.


AUTHORITY
1. Works in all areas of the building to complete assigned cleaning responsibilities.
2. Requests necessary cleaning and protective gowning (PPE) supplies from the warehouse.

Experience and Skills:

QUALIFICATIONS

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.

2. Able to read, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to achieve required work/training expectations and to document progress according to instructions.

3. Good work attendance, dependability.

4. Able to work independently and with little supervision.

5. Able to complete physical labor such as mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, wiping, etc

6. Able to work with cleaning solutions and supplies required to complete the job responsibilities as listed above.

7. Able to work in a highly controlled and disciplined environment and to follow prescribed directions.

8. Must be able to pass FDA and DEA background requirements.

9. Able to wear a respirator.

The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel crouch or crawl. The employee is frequently required to use hands to grasp, finger or handle objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or exert force from 25 pounds up to 75 pounds. Push and/or pull up to 300 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Majority of time spent cleaning the facilities and equipment as well as performing manufacturing operations for product handling and packaging. This requires the use of harsh chemicals, and you must wear a respirator in certain areas.
